Santa Flying Away

Welcome to the North Pole!

Santa and Mrs. Claus would like to welcome you to their home and workshop. They love children, and love to see the smiles on their faces when they open their Christmas presents. How can Santa possibly see your face on Christmas day? Magic Snow JewelWell, he has a magic "snow jewel" that shows him all your faces. He also uses that to watch you when you're sleeping and awake. He really does know when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!

North Pole Elf
Elf Report

The elves have been busy making toys for the boys and girls and they really enjoy their work. They love making toys for children and hope that all the children of the world will be good, so they can keep busy. Mining coal is a hard and dirty job that the elves don't like. They'd much rather make toys, and use the coal to fuel their stoves.
Christmas Cottage
Christmas Year Around
with Mrs. Claus

Hello everyone. I'm so excited about having my own section here on the North Pole website. I look forward to keeping you informed of all my activities and favorite things.

Mrs. ClausIt's so much fun being Mrs. Claus. We celebrate Christmas all year around. We play and sing along with Christmas songs all the time. We play all kinds of games, and we have special contests in cooking Christmas goodies, and making ornaments and other Christmas crafts. But most importantly, we all share our love. That's the greatest gift anyone could ever give, and it doesn't cost anything.

Santa and I so enjoy reading your letters. We love hearing from you, and hope that you will always keep the magic of Christmas in your heart. Knowing that you keep Christmas in your hearts, and you still write us letters, is what makes our work worth the effort. You don't have to wait until the end of the year to write us, you can write us anytime you like. All you have to put on the outside of the envelope is:

Santa and Mrs. Claus
The North Pole

and the postman will deliver it to us. But be sure you include your return address on the upper left corner of the envelope, just in case the post office has a problem with your letter.

Naughty & Nice Banner

Santa has been rather upset lately. The naughty list has been growing, and he doesn't understand why. Mrs. Claus thought that it might be because children don't understand what Santa means by naughty and nice. So Santa has created a list of things that he considers to be good, to help the children around the world know what it means to be "nice."
Santa's Nice List is filled with children who:
  1. Believe in Santa
  2. Obey & listen to their parents
  3. Are kind and respectful to everyone
  4. Are not selfish or greedy
  5. Say, "Thank you"
  6. Say, "I'm sorry," and mean it, when they are wrong
  7. Say, "Please" when they ask for something
  8. Are helpful to parents and others
  9. Are honest, and can be trusted
  10. Try to do their best in school
  11. Try to keep their room clean
Santa knows that you can't be perfect, but he would like to see you do these things as much as you can, because he likes to give toys away, and wants all the children to get a present on Christmas day.
Santa's Stuck Santa Sightings:
At Home with the Claus Family

You may wonder, "Does Santa spend all his time making toys and reading his lists and checking them twice?" Well, there's a lot more work to be done at the North Pole than just making toys. Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves all have other duties that take some time. Mrs. Claus has to cook for all the elves, as well as Santa, so she keeps very busy. She does get help from some of the other elves, and sometimes Santa even helps her. "How does she get all that food?" you may ask. Well, she gives Santa or one of the other elves a list, and they take the sleigh to the nearest town and buy food there. Another question you may ask is, "Where do they get the money?" Well, at the North Pole there are treasures that no human can find. Only the elves and Santa know where they are, and they use that treasure to pay for their food. Of course, they only take what they need, never more than that.

Mrs. Claus also has to keep their house clean, because she believes a clean house is a happy house. It makes her feel good when she's done a good job of cleaning, and she thinks it will make you feel good too, when you clean your room or help out around your house. Mrs. Claus isn't the only one who has to clean up. At the end of every work day, the elves and Santa must clean up the workshop, so it will be ready for the next day.

Santa has to help the elves gather firewood, so they can all stay warm in their houses. He hitches up the sleigh and flies to the nearest forest and they all chop wood. But they are careful to replace all the trees they chop down, so not to hurt the earth. "How do they replace the trees?" you ask. Santa has another special magic sack that can carry hundreds of trees inside, and it doesn't take up any room at all in the sleigh. Once they have replaced the last tree, they place the chopped firewood in that sack, and it magically makes the wood shrink down to almost nothing. When he returns home and empties the sack, there's a mountain of firewood for all to share.

Reindeer Update

The reindeer don't always play Reindeer games, they do their share of working too. The reindeer help the elves and Santa gather wood for their fireplaces, so they can all stay warm. They also help Santa find toys, that may have been discarded or lost by children, so the elves can repair or remake them into usuable toys, for children who may not have any toys.

For those of you who love sports, below is an update of this week's Reindeer games.
